Workshops
This year we operated four workshops, which ran in parallel.
Workshops 1 and 4 were made up of four teams of delegates who were be invited to design a certain type of lottery from scratch. Each team was given a lottery format and various challenges to address.
On day one the teams brainstormed ideas and came up with a format. On day two the teams met again to polish up the ideas, using new things learnt over the course of the conference, and put together a brief presentation.
In the "Dragon’s Den" session the teams presented their solutions and were quizzed by "friendly dragons".
These workshops were intended to enable people (who would not normally work side by side) to share experiences and ideas in a fun and practical way.
Workshops 3 and 4 were devoted to problem and ideas sharing in one session and the traditional "meet the Gambling Commission" in the other. If you went to "ideas" on day one you went to the Gambling Commission session on day two.
